Senior Developer 
Salary up to £45,000 Dependant on Experience

Based in Caerphilly

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Developer to join our busy senior technical team. 

Reporting to the Company Directors, this role will provide our Customers with ongoing support and development of the custom applications we have deployed and supported over the last 12 years. The successful candidate will have excellent Customer communication skills and be comfortable working and communicating directly with end Customers on projects, as well as engaging with our internal teams to ensure successful implementation & support of our software solutions. 

It is a very varied and dynamic role which is both challenging and rewarding.  We are looking for a team player that strives to deliver solutions on time/on budget that always keeps Customer satisfaction at the core of everything they do.  Someone who is keen to learn new technologies and can think outside the box to not only deliver on Customer expectations but challenge and be creative with their proposed solutions.

**This is a client facing role so good customer communication skills are essential.**


Industry Knowledge & Expertise:

· 3+ Years SQL experience. Including but not limited to:

– Database design, querying and programming.

– Stored procedures, functions, triggers, backups and SQL Administration.

· SQL Reporting Services

· SharePoint Foundation Administration

· ASP.NET

· Generic programming skills that can translate to other languages

Additional Skills Required:

· SharePoint Online Design/Build Administration)

· Microsoft Access and VBA Skills

· C#

· Powershell

· Experience with WebApps & SQL in Azure

Senior 3rd Line IT Infrastructure Engineer
Salary Scale up to £35,000 Dependant on Experience

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our busy senior technical team team. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this role will be one of the focal point for complex technical escalations and will provide technical support and guidance to our 1st and 2nd Line Engineers and Technicians. As a senior member of the technical team we are looking for a team player who can lead by example, sharing knowledge and producing documentation should be second nature.

This role is varied and no two days are the same. Alongside the challenge of the service desk, you will be heavily involved in a variety of interesting project implementations. Sometimes hands-on, sometimes more as a project manager working closely with our Engineers & Technicians. We are looking for someone who is excited by technology; someone who naturally keeps up to date with the latest technologies, techniques, initiatives and changes in the industry.

We are passionate about continuous improvement. This role would particularly suit an IT professional who would like to further develop their skillset and certify in Cloud Architecture (Azure) or Cyber Security Consultancy.

Industry Knowledge & Expertise:

· Computer Science / IT Degree or equivalent practical experience

· Ideally Microsoft Certified Professional

· You will have demonstrable experience of working with the following technologies:

– Office 365 Administration (experience of Migration Projects)

– Wintel Administration and Support (Desktop and Server)

– LAN, Wireless Network Skills

– Sonicwall / Firewall Administration

– Backup and Disaster Recovery Technologies

– Remote Desktop and Thin Client Technologies

– Virtualisation Design, Administration and Support (VMWare / Hyper-V)

– Active Directory (including Multisite and ADFS)

– SAN Administration, Implementation and Management

– Azure Administration

– Experience working within a Managed Service Provider environment and use of RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools would be advantageous.

– Cyber Security Accreditation or an interest in working towards

– Working knowledge of ISO 9001 / 27001 would be advantageous

IT Support Engineer

Salary £24,000 – £27,500 based on experience.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT support engineer with MSP experience to join our expanding technical Team. Applicants require 2-4 years’ experience in an IT Support Engineer role and must enjoy working, as part of a team, in a fast moving, dynamic environment

Duties & Responsibilites:

    • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications

    • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks

    • Talk clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues

    • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults replace parts as required

    • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports

    • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system

    • Support the roll-out of new applications

    • Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues

    • Respond within agreed time limits to calls

    • Work continuously on a task until completion (or refer to third parties or senior team if appropriate)

    • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time

    • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers

    • Test and evaluate new technology

    • Work to a standard that maintains the companies ISO 9001/27001 accreditations

    • Uphold eIT company values at all times

 

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

    • Uphold eIT company values at all times

    • MSP Experience

    • Previous Helpdesk/IT Support (telephone/remote support) experience.

    • Existing professional certification MCP, VCP (or working towards)

    • Excellent telephone manner and customer service/Communication skills.

    • Strong working knowledge of Wintel Client/Server Systems

    • Experience of Firewall and Network Security Technologies

    • Experience of Hyper-V, VMWare, SAN, NAS

    • Experience with Microsoft 365 Administration / Migrations

    • Strong understanding TCP/IP networking, including experience with routing, VLAN, VPN, Wireless.

    • Experience of VOIP telephony systems.

    • Automation and Scripting using PowerShell

    • ‘Hands on’ approach and a willingness to learn.

    • Flexible, pro-active approach (may be required to work away or unsociable hours to meet the needs of the business).

    • Full Driving Licence and access to own transport.
